Definition

HR Analytics is based on data and figures. It is about the performance and added value of HR as a department, and thus the efficiency and effectiveness of core HR processes. 

HR Analytics often has the objective of identifying those aspects of HR management that need to be prioritized and improved in order for HR to perform better. The target audience is then HR and line management (if involved).

Workforce Analytics aims to determine those aspects of workforce management that need to be prioritized and improved for the organization to perform better. In this sense it is about the performance of the entire workforce .The target audience is management, HR and employees.
